How do you use your story to get to other people?
From a Weight Watchers commercial – Jessica – says she’s “just Jessica”. But for realz –she’s a celebrity.
but – her story is – there’s a lot of pressure to lose weight…. being “just Jessica”, she wants to be healthy for her family.
The keys are:
*LISTEN – listen to what your customers, prospects need.
*FOCUS – on them. Not you. As long as you’re in their world – you’re safe.
*TALK less. Goes back to listening…. but – also – talk to people like they’re 8th graders with ADHD. You have to appeal to their reptilian brain – and get past it…. so they trust you.
*Use the Hero’s Journey to figure out WHO you’re talking to….
